Connie Going is a nationally recognized adoption advocate, social worker, and adoptive parent with more than 40 years of experience in child welfare. Having both worked within the system and parented children impacted by trauma, Connie brings unmatched professional expertise and deeply personal insight to her mission.
After serving as an Adoption Specialist and Director within Florida’s state system, Connie founded Going Adoption & Surrogacy, where she continues to champion permanency for older youth and provide ethical, supportive options for birth parents. Her work focuses on ensuring that every child has the opportunity for a committed, stable, and lasting home.
Connie has appeared on national platforms including The View, Fox & Friends, CBS On the Road with Steve Hartman, ABC Evening News, NBC World News, and in People Magazine and Oprah’s Magazine O. She is the recipient of the Congressional Angels in Adoption Award and the Tampa Bay Lightning Heroes Award.
Grounded in transparency, advocacy, and community collaboration, Connie continues to consult, speak, and mentor families and professionals across the country. She is currently writing her first book on parenting adoptive children into adulthood because, as she says, “the adventure never ends.”

We welcome donations of all kinds: gift baskets, handcrafted items, themed packages, local experiences, gift cards, or other unique treasures. Auction items can be brought directly to the conference.
