Empathy through Engagement
As helpers in child welfare, it is important to assess our own responses to caring for ourselves so that we can care for others. This training day will support efforts to continue our journey in the child welfare field as we advance our understanding of the role of empathy in our interactions with others and use our own experiences to reframe the care we provide to others in need. We will be focusing on the use of empathy in our engagement with children, youth, and one another, as well as unpacking our own traumatic life experiences to build bridges of understanding. Presented by: Kurt Miller, Director of Family Team Meeting Unit – PA Child
