Chafee Education And Training Grant
The Chafee Education and Training Grant (ETG) Program is a federally funded program that offers grant assistance to Pennsylvania undergraduate students aging out of foster care who are attending a post-secondary institution approved for Federal Title IV student financial assistance programs.

FC2S Scholarship Program
Foster Care to Success (FC2S) provides scholarships, mentorship, and ongoing support to help young people with lived foster care experience achieve their education and career goals.
FC2S recognizes that a traditional four-year college is not the only pathway to success. Their scholarship program supports students pursuing:
- Certificate and professional training programs
- Career and technical education
- Two-year and four-year college degrees
The program is supported by private donors and prioritizes continuing scholars who were previously in foster care.
Eligibility highlights:
- At least one year of college or post-secondary education completed
- Minimum C average or higher
- Students may apply up to their 25th birthday
Please Note:
To meet the needs of current scholarship recipients, FC2S is not accepting new students for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Community Now: Education & Career Training
FC2S is also expanding opportunities through Community Now, an initiative focused on career pathways that lead to sustainable employment and self-sufficiency.
Through partnerships with employers and schools, Community Now supports training for careers such as:
- Plumbers
- Electricians
- Medical assistants
- Other in-demand skilled professions
Young people are equipped with practical skills and real-world experience to help them thrive in their chosen career fields.
