The PSRFA Scholarship

The PSRFA Scholarship Program supports the educational goals of young people connected to foster, adoptive, and kinship families across Pennsylvania. Through the generosity of donors and supporters, PSRFA provides financial assistance to help students continue their education beyond high school. Whether through college or trade school. This scholarship reflects our mission of Families Helping Families and our commitment to supporting youth as they transition into adulthood.

Eligible Students

Applicants may include:

• Youth currently in foster care
• Adopted youth
• Kinship youth
• Biological children of active PSRFA members who are currently licensed foster, adoptive, or kinship caregivers

Eligible Programs

Scholarships may be used toward:

• Two-year or four-year college or university programs
• Trade schools and technical programs
• Certificate and vocational training programs

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

• Be a high school senior or graduating student
• Plan to attend an accredited post-secondary institution or training program
• Be connected to an active PSRFA member household
• Submit a completed scholarship application by the stated deadline

Award Details

• Scholarships are awarded based on available funding
• Selection considers academic effort, personal goals, and demonstrated need
• Funds are paid directly to the educational institution
